Sam is an experienced clinical supervisor, offering one-to-one and group supervision to practitioners in a range of clinical settings.

SAM MILFORD

MSc, UKCP, MBACP (Accred)

I offer psychodynamic clinical supervision to psychotherapists and counsellors, providing a reflective space to support their professional growth and development. I work with both individuals and groups in a range of settings, including training organisations and private practice.

Drawing on over 12 years of experience as a psychodynamic practitioner, I aim to both support and thoughtfully challenge supervisees as they explore the complexities of their clinical work. My approach is to encourage a deeper understanding of unconscious processes, including transference and countertransference dynamics. As a BACP and UKCP accredited practitioner, I also work with supervisees to consider ethical and professional standards within their work.

Supervision sessions will usually involve lively, collaborative discussions around specific current cases with the aim of enhancing clinical skills, therapeutic competence and promoting self-awareness.

I undertake ongoing CPD and keep myself informed of changes in the field. My supervision training was BAPPS approved.

Supervision sessions are generally scheduled fortnightly, cost £70 and last for 50 minutes. We can work in person in my North Laine practice or over Zoom as necessary.
