SAM MILFORD

MSc, UKCP, MBACP (Accred)

Difficult feelings such as those of distress, anxiousness or depression are often symptoms of a story that hasn't been fully understood or properly heard. My aim is to to provide a supportive, confidential environment in order for us to begin to explore your story in a collaborative way.

I have a PGDip in psychotherapeutic counselling, and an MSc in psychodynamic psychotherapy - an approach to therapy that is particularly interested in bringing together memories, emotions and patterns in order to better understand what drives us. I also regularly undertake further trainings as part of my commitment to continuing professional development.

Our first few sessions would be an opportunity for you to get a feel for the way in which we might work together - with no pressure to look further ahead than this. During the first meeting it can be helpful for us to discuss any hopes or expectations you might have for therapy - and we can begin to identify the ways in which therapy could be useful for you.

If we subsequently decide to continue working together then we'll set up a regular time each week for further meetings.

If you have any questions prior to booking a session - please feel free to use the form below or leave a message on the office answerphone (01273 602137) and let me know when it's a good time to return your call.
